Place product close to—but never on—the skin and blend it smoothly according to the system instructions. Excess bulk here encourages a ridge as the nail grows and can make filing more difficult.

The apex is the higher area that helps manage leverage. Its position and size change with nail length and shape. It should transition gradually rather than form a sudden bump or dip.
Refine the sidewalls and free edge
